CONCLUSION – THIS PROGRAM MAY BE ENDING…
YOUR MPM JOURNEY IS JUST BEGINNING
Mental performance mastery (MPM): It’s a lifestyle, not an event.
Now that we are at the conclusion of this program, this isn’t the end of the road. It’s just a bend in the road. It’s not the end of our time together; it’s just the start. Remember to stay present, that it’s never “not now” and that time is just a series of NOW points.
This is where it gets more real, and the level of success and impact you’re able to see from this program comes down to whether you’ve been applying what you’ve learned to your life and your sport.
Do you have an a.m. and p.m. routine yet?
Are you keeping a 168 and time blocking?
Do you have a personal MVP Process?
Did you create your own mental imagery audio yet? Are you listening to it consistently?
Are you drinking 2/3 of your body weight in water each day?
Are you dialing in your nutrition game with macros?
How about your processes and routines in competition? Have they gotten tighter?
Are you reading a page per day of The Daily Dominator consistently?
Are you listening to The Mental Performance Daily Podcast and Success Hotline?
Have you and your accountability partner(s) decided on a plan of action moving forward?
Have you improved at recognizing your signal lights and developed better awareness?
How’s your elite mindset?
How often are you saying “GOOD” as your response to adverse events? Is it influencing the outcome?
Are you controlling what you can control or getting hooked by what you can’t?
Are you aware of your one-word focus?
Are you getting mental reps and doing shadow work?
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO WITH WHAT YOU LEARNED?
This is the beginning of the new you.
My suggestion is you go through this program again, because every time you go through it, you’re at a different place and you’re going to learn more about yourself. You don’t necessarily have to watch all the videos again; simply review your notes on pillar #1 on the 1st, 11th and 21st of the month. Then repeat doing a little a lot each day till you master the material and are implementing it all in your life.
I am confident that with that type of spaced repetition you will be living with mental performance mastery and your performance will have gone to the next level.
What I love about mental performance mastery is that you’re going to take what you learn here with you after your athletic career is over. You probably won’t take the physical skills you learned in your sport with you for the rest of your life. After all, learning how to tackle or how to shoot a basketball won’t help you much in life after your sporting career is over.
However, you WILL take what you learned here in this program and even though you’re applying these 10 pillars of mental performance mastery/10 mental skills to your sport, these are really the essential life skills you’re going to need to be successful at WHATEVER YOU DECIDE YOU WANT TO DO.
Remember that your decisions determine your destiny, and your focus determines your future. As the end of this program draws near, it’s time for you to put together an intentional plan to APPLY what you have learned moving forward. It’s not enough to just go through this Mental Performance Mastery program — you must USE and APPLY what you have learned.
You can do anything. You can’t do everything, nor do you need to. I created this program to serve as a mental performance buffet to feed all types of athletes. It is a robust mental performance mastery training program for athletes, where my goal was to expose you to strategies so you could develop the 10 pillars of mental performance mastery.
What I want you to do now is write down your big three strategies that you plan to focus on from going through the program this time. Then commit to executing on them in your success checklist moving forward.
What were the “BIG THREE” strategies that grabbed you “this time” going through the program that you’re going to intentionally work on? Notice I said “this time” to reinforce that you should go through the program more than once and review your notes for a short part of each day. Touch this program daily with the goal that one year from now you are the most mentally trained person in any competition that you enter! EVER!
That does not guarantee that you will win, but it does guarantee you the best chance for success. There are a lot of factors that play into winning that are out of your control.
Remember: You can do anything, but you can’t do everything.
YOUR “BIG THREE” TAKE AWAYS
What are your “big three” strategies that you are going to implement from this Mental Performance Mastery program?
Your #1 big strategy from this program that you will implement?
Your #2 big strategy from this program that you will implement?
Your #3 big strategy from this program that you will implement?
This isn’t the end. This is just the beginning.
Before you go, there’s one final thing you must do.
It’s time to complete a post-training program assessment.
Remember, when you rated your level of mastery for each of the 10 pillars?
It’s time to revisit that exercise and see how much progress you’ve made!
Please complete the post-training assessment.
POST-TRAINING PROGRAM ASSESSMENT
Please re-assess yourself and where you feel like you are at today. Keep growing these 10 skills Mental Performance Mastery. Assess yourself on a scale of 1-10, with 1 being terrible and 10 being world-class (no 7’s). Remember: There is no finish line.
