When life presents great opportunities, I make decisions based on what will push the limits of my personal and professional development. The opportunity to be the Head Men’s Golf Coach at Denver amidst a global pandemic was a challenge I would not have been able to navigate without the help of our Mental Performance Coach Brian Cain.
Our program’s work with Brian was essential in developing a culture of resilience and an elite mindset that propelled us to win the 2021 Summit League Conference Championship and achieve the program’s top finish ever at the NCAA Regionals. I am excited to take an opportunity with Brian Cain Peak Performance as Chief Opperations Officer and Vice President of Golf Development.
I’ve seen firsthand the impact his 10 Pillars of Mental Performance Mastery training system, MPM Certification and 30 Day Athletes Program have had on our golfers and on myself as a golf coach. We will be working to bring that same system, passion and energy we did at Denver to golfers across the world.
I’m grateful for how all of the players at Denver embraced my vision for the program and will always cherish the relationships we established.
I look forward, alongside Brian, to being able to impact even more golfers and help them achieve their dreams.

Trake is extremely knowledgeable about mental skills and the impact it can have on performance. I was incredibly impressed with his plan he put together to help the men’s team improve and how he did it in such a short amount of time. He helped his players see the value of staying in the present and staying process-focused to achieve their results by instilling confidence and belief in his golfers. His calm and confident demeanor was reflected on his team and you could see that in their approach to each competitive round. Trake knows how to get players to work hard, improve, compete and win!Lindsay KuhleHead Women's Golf Coach, The University of Denver
