PARENTS

Bookmark and Share

Having worked as a high school athletic director I am amazed at how much I’m seeing parents dominate their child’s athletic experience.  I am now starting to see this at the college level.  The trend is that parents are more involved in the college level than they were in the past.  Why are we seeing that?  I think one of the things we’ve got to do is we’ve got to educate our parents on what they can do to help the program and what they can do to hurt the program instead of assuming that they will figure it out.

Spend the time to have that parent meeting, or make a video that you send home to say here’s how you can best help your softball player in our program and here is what you can do to hurt their experience.
