UAB Softball head coach Marla Townsend has led UAB Softball to the NCAA Tournament in 5 of the last 6 seasons and has guided the Blazers program since it began in 1998. In addition to being named Conference USA Coach of the Year in 2013 and being known as traditionally playing one of the toughest schedules in NCAA D1 softball, Coach Townsend is a master of the mental game.
